A warm and cozy upscale Scottish Gastropub & Whisky Pub in the heart of vacationland, just 2 hours north of Toronto. Owned and operated since 2005 by Stephanie Price who, having a passion for detail, has created a true Scottish experience offering fine Scottish gastro fare and over 1,000 whiskies. Meaford is a one stop, four season, vacation destination with gorgeous waterfronts to walk along, great shopping, water sports, golfing, skiing, hiking, camping.

Stephanie is passionate about her Dam Pub! It’s been quite a wee journey from slinging breakfasts at Flapjacks on Highway 10 at age 14. Who knew years later she would own the leading whisky pub in North America, with over 1,000 different whiskies in the collection. Patrons have come from as far as Sri Lanka and Brasil. Planning their visit to Ontario around our wee gastropub to take in The Dam Pub experience. “We have created a destination restaurant” says Price. ” We offer more than just food and drink. We consistently provide great fare, great staff, fresh ideas and a warm and cozy ambience. We simply love what we do. You cannot fake passion!”

All you have to do is mention whisky and Stephanie lights up. “My favourite part of the job is discussing anything whisky. Planning whisky events, whisky pairings, and looking for that next special bottle to add to our collection.” She takes her work seriously and visits as many distilleries as possible, when time permits. Stephanie attended the Bruichladdich Whisky Academy on Islay September 2009. It was here she made whisky with one of her mentors, the amazing Jim McEwen, returning home as our very own Certified Single Malt Ambassador!

Our kitchen offers fresh made to order favourites such as, Shepherd’s Pie, Braised Lamb Shank, Coconut Thai Mussels and Chocolate Pate. The Dam Pub fish supper is an old secret beer batter recipe, passed down through generations of ‘Price family heritage. Sundays wouldn’t be complete without the traditional Prime Rib Dinner and Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings.
